27% Increase in Greek Translation in 2010
(PRWEB) June 25, 2010 -- Since the financial crisis hit Greece in the beginning of the year there was a sharp rise in the demand for Greek translations compared to other West European languages. Greek translations (http://www.onehourtranslation.com) rose 27% to total of 6% of Western European languages translations including French, Italian, German, and Spanish. The rise in Greek translation was most evident in translations between Greek and German, French, English and Spanish.
Moreover, the nature of translations, according to the type of translation requested by the customers shifted from 43% general, 44% business, 9% legal and 4% other in 2009 to 22% general, 62% business, 13% legal and 3% other in the first half of 2010.
Following the latest increase in translation volume, Greek rose from the 24th place to the 20th place on the One Hour Translation most popular languages index.
